Hmmm. Followed the Linux method on Debian Wheezy pretty much exactly, using the rt73usb driver, and my 3ds sees a Nintendo Zone, but then fails to connect. :(

Code:
root@steamos:/home/desktop/Documents/Nintzone# ./nintzone.sh neocrux wlan0 eth0
/tmp/tmp.NaXvvNH0gh/nztmp
Starting Nintendo Zone Hotspot, using config ''Provided by neocrux''

root@steamos:/home/desktop/Documents/Nintzone# ifconfig

I can see that the MAC address is being changed correctly on
Code:
wlan0
, so I'm at a loss as to what the problem is.

I set everything up, and was able to connect to attwifi on my 3ds. I put it into sleep mode for a few minutes, and when I woke it up there was a green 'streetpass' notification in the top left of my screen. Yet when I check any of my games, or mii plaza, there is nothing there to indicate I got a streetpass. Am I doing something wrong? I am seeing a nintendo zone by the way, and cannot connect to it, but I thought that was normal.

The streetpasses also aren't showing in the notifications. Basically nowhere, even though I've set the attwifi network up and was able to connect to it.

I am using the windows method by the way.

I tried so many methods to get this working, my router, my android phone, my laptop running windows, but I finally got it working with my laptop running Ubuntu.
I've been using this to get a ton of ACNL hits! With a bit of patience, setting up multiple spoofed macs with this list, I'll be able to get the hundreds of streetpass hits I need to get that infamous gold badge!

Hey guys I could use your help. I'm using the Windows 7 guide and I've found that when I spoof my wireless adapter, it does not spoof the 'attwifi' correctly. When I check the status of 'attwifi', the MAC is still the original however when I check my android device, it says that 'attwifi' is spoofed but I can't connect to 'attwifi' unless the MAC on both the wireless adapter and 'attwifi' are the same.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure how anyone might feel about this, but I decided to try and turn the Linux HomePass method into an image guide, and explain it the way that I got it to work and in more layman's terms.

I dunno, does this work for you? Is there something I should change, correct?

Nice, but the disadvantage of images is that theres no copy and paste, and error can occur

hey, I'm starting an "home zone" for street pass meeting, with a friend, we are using a D-link wireless router, the nintendo zone worked, but we want to share it on the homepass list but I'm not sure which mac to use, the router give us 3 mas addresses, the Lan, Wan and wireless, wich one should we share there?

Definitely true there, I do link to the GBAtemp thread a couple of times so you can retrieve what you need to copy/paste, but manually typing that much text can be prone to error.
An image does have the advantage of being a single compiled reference to keep.

By the way, thanks to HomePass I was finally able to get that infamous StreetPass Master badge in ACNL, thanks!

So, a problem I'm having with the Windows set up:

I am using MACycle to cycle through mac addresses. I have two connections: Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. I ran command prompt to allow the virtual port and I created a connection called "attwifi" with a password.

Now, I streetpassed fine. When I turn off the virtual network and change my mac address, on recreating the virtual network, sometimes the shared connection with Ethernet is lost. Even though the option is checked under the Eternet share tab to be shared with attwifi, it isn't. It's quickly fixed if I go into the settings, turn it off, then turn it back on.

It's mostly a problem when I'm cycling through macs as the process is automated and I'm not at my machine to correct it. It would just be nice if anyone knew what the problem could be.

If it helps, I am using Windows 8.1.
