Ya, you only need to use the M3i Zero Core once to flash it during first boot.

Do you really need to format the micro SD, can't you just put the f_core.dat onto your previous M3 REAL micro and start the flashing?.

yeah, you can, they just add that on to make sure it's a clean installation, but you can skip it.

as mentioned by iwakura you don't need to [IMG]
same here.. i didn't even format~! just drag the firmware (sakura,m3) and the f_core.dat into the root of my SD card
after that, follow the instruction [IMG]
it is a very simple and short process

would the M3i Zero work on a DSLite without flashing it with f_core.dat? or it is a must for it to work on any versions of DS?

Its a must. Its ships as a blank card. So to use it on any DS/DSL/DSI, it has to be flashed.

I presume M3 have done this is order to get past over zealous custom checks in certain countries.
The card holds no data that may infringe copyright laws, unlike some other DSi compatible cards. *cough* DSTTi *cough*

Just use windows' repair thing that pops up when you plug the reader in. Worked perfectly for fixing mine.

Sakura swore at me first attempt, plugged it into windows, did repair, then it worked perfectly.

That's good [IMG] It'd be a shame not to be able to use it for another few days.
