If you're in GBA mode only, you're limited to SNES Advance and Snezziboy. Neither has sound, and few games run at full speed, but if you're willing to accept some slowdown you can play some good games. Note that compatibility is not 100%, nor is it close.Â
SNES Advance:
1. Grab the tools from snesadvance.org
2. Grab the updated snesadvance.dat file from
http://www.pocketheaven.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=3366 and overwrite the old one.
3. Open the builder and add your games, up to 32 MB in size.
4. Output the file and test the *.gba file in Visual Boy Advance to make sure it works.
5. Patch with the Supercard patcher and place on your card
Snezziboy:
1. Grab the emulator from
http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.p...lease_id=439682
2. Delete the snezzi.dat file, download the snesadvance.dat file from
http://www.pocketheaven.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=3366 and rename it to snezzi.dat
3. Open the new snezzi.dat file in Notepad and turn off Word Wrap
4. Go to
http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Snezzi_dat and manually copy over entries for games you know you want to play, overwriting the old entries.
5. Drag and drop your SNES game onto snezzi.exe to create a *.gba file. Launch it and test that it works.
6. Patch with the Supercard patcher and place it on your card.
7. In-game, press L+R+Start to open the config menu. Here, you set your controls and graphics settings.Â
8. While playing, press L+R+Select+Up to cycle through some known good graphics combinations. If none of them work, look at
http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Snezziboy_Compatibility_List to see if we've found a good combination for you.
Let me know if you need any more help, or if you want me to take a look at speedhacking a specific game.
