I don't know how to insert images using CrystalTile2. Best I can do is import the new image but then I can't do anything from there.

Easier to dump the rom if its nds, if its gba, uh geez...
    ;load file or rom
view - tile view or F5
goto offset for image insert start
if you need to - (widen it, the number of tiles, or change other settings) the properties panel is there for good use.
Have you found your image and dumped it yet?
in the tiles if you have found the image you need to dump select it with your mouse goto edit export image and save it as you will

so you have edited the image with only the colors in it (very important, unless you want to mess around with editing palettes in rom)
make sure you are at the right offset
edit -insert image -browse to the file
make sure available screen is big enough you click on a something in the rom other than your imported image
use your mouse to drop it where it needs to go and double click somewhere other than the imported image
    file save
if its a nds rom you can view its file structure and see if it has a pallete file that you can import colors from
you can do all this with a dumped file from the rom (what i do easier in case i screw up somehow... just replace the dumped file instead of the rom)

if you need any help just pm me or if this needs clarification let me know
