How do I get PS4 to download game updates?

Hey guys, I got a PS4 Pro the other day on 9.00 and installed some of my PS4 Game Discs. Is it not possible to get game updates downloaded from the PS4? Or am I doing something wrong? Works fine with PS5 on old firmware.

You may need to be on the latest firmware or they'll fail, not sure. Download them from orbis patches.

@godreborn @jnl1 I ended up getting patch installer pkg which can pull updates from Sony on the PS4 pretty cool app.
