Is there a working version of HBL that works with 5.3.2 and launches with the latest kexploit so I don't need to first launch the kexploit10?

Yes I already tried. Just getting a freeze on 5.3.2
That's odd. Have you tried clearing your cookies? Haven't personally ever had to do it on the Wii U but I've heard it fixes problems. Also, make sure you have the regular HBL package in SD:/wiiu/apps/ otherwise it won't boot

I haven't kept up with the progress of HBL, but is there a way to have HBL automatically start a certain app?...maybe after 5-10 seconds?

Yes I've cleared cache. The elf is on the sd in the correct spot. The payloads are in the correct www folders. It works on 5.4.0 and 5.5.1 but freezes on 5.3.2

He guys, I have a WiiU since today , yeah ^^. Firm 4.0.0E
Block Updates via Tubehax, all ok. Downloaded latest HBL (RC3), put on SD and server-files to my router (subdir wiiu in /www), try to launch it -> freeze.
Try to launch via wiiubru -> FSGETMountSource failed? Maybe a SDCard problem?

That error means the files aren't in the right location on your SD card.

SD:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
SD:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/icon.png
SD:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/meta.xml

From my experience, "FSGETMountSource" is usually related to either a bad folder structure or SD format.

My cousin tried FAT (FAT16) as it's usually working the same way than FAT32 with Wii homebrew, but he got the FSMount error.
After formating to FAT32, it worked.

The freeze happens.
Maybe the browser has the old html in cache and is loading the wrong exploit version. Try to clear the browser data.

Does Homebrew Channel compatible homebrew work on the Homebrew Launcher directly? Or is porting necessary?

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
