Is it possible to homebrew a 3DS with another homebrewed 3DS? I use soundhax on my 11.2 3DS and my friend has a 3DS with 11.6 and I think there's currently no free way to homebrew a 3DS with 11.6. Please help fast because my friend leaves in 2 days!

If you have a physical copy of oot3d, paper Mario sticker star, cubic ninja, pokemon SMD, freakyforms deluxe, or Pokemon ORAS, then you can. If you have none of these games, I highly suggest NOT BUYING ANY OF THEM! Buying an nds flashcart will allow you to install a full cfw on both consoles regardless of firmware, and it costs less than most of these games averaging at 20 dollars. Thought you said 11.4, don't read this

Or, install CFW on your 11.2 console and use the DSiWare hax method to install CFW on your friend's console. The disadvantage will be that he loses his data.
It's too late for ntrboot now (shipping a flashcart usually takes like two weeks) unless you happen to own a compatible cart already.

Yes, DSiware Exploit. so many intermix the wrong term, "homebrewing" with "getting CFW", if it's CFW you want yes if you have one of the compatible DSiWare games on the source 3DS and its not a situation of Your 3DS is an N3DS and your friend's is an O3DS.
(or NTRBoot if you own a DS /DSi Mode flashcart that's compatible)

if you flat out mean homebrew (userland stuff like Emulators, games made w/ the homebrew SDK, etc) and you dont have the physical games Giodude here mentioned, your boned.

You could system transfer a hacked steel diver to that system. Or if you have cfw, dsiware transfer and give him cfw.

Have you installed b9s on your 11.2 system? You should, whether you pirate or not.

That's a good idea. But, you will have to install CFW on your console first or else you'll be locked out of homebrew after upgrading to 11.6 for the eShop.

I forgot to mention I don't have CFW or any of these stuff that can brick your console, only the homebrew launcher and my friends needs only normal homebrew too
And I own a ds flashcart but it doesn't work I don't know if it's because I have a 3DS or the flashcart is broken

if it gives you the "An Exception has Occurred" screen, it 's likely within the ds cart blacklist. and may have a FW Update (if its the AK2i, then your SoL not w/o a 3ds allready using cfw or you have a DSi/older ds.)

It says no game card inserted (the message blinks when I insert or remove my card though)

w/o CFW to check in D9WIP/GodMode9 or the ntrboot flasher no way to tell if it actually Is dead or just needs it's FW reflashed. but generally yea that means it's dead.

This is a common misconception. Nowadays, custom firmwares have been made so easy and foolproof to install, there is now a zero percent brickrate. Cfw is fast, easy, and completely safe. Also, even if your friends are only interested in regular Homebrew, this benefits that too, as cfw allows you to do everything you've been doing now, only without having to fear about updating. If you want to learn more about exactly what a cfw is, I wrote an in depth synopsis about it a few days ago:
I'm going to say this now so I can copy and paste this into other threads to explain exactly what a cfw is:
Basically, a cfw (Custom FirmWare), is several patches applied to the 3ds OS launched via some sort of exploit (in most cases b9s). These patches range from signature patches (allowing for the installation of CIA files with invalid tickets) to the Rosalina system module that pops up when L+DOWN+SELECT are held. Otherwise, there is no difference between a regular vanilla 3ds and a 3ds with a cfw launcher installed (as a cfw is never really installed. What is really being installed is something that launches a cfw. That's why godmode9 and other payloads can be loaded too). This means that the 3ds can be updated as normal, with no need to worry about losing games or saves. Updating functions just like normal. The same goes for updating games, which is discussed in detail later. In fact, you could install b9s (boot9strap) and use your 3ds like a completely normal 3ds, and there would be absolutely zero difference between that 3ds and a regular vanilla one. The only way to tell would be to send it in to Nintendo.
Due to a lack of account system on the 3ds at launch (Nintendo network IDs were shoehorned in later, and thus don't function quite right), all 3ds games acquired illegitimately (CIA files) function identically to games that were purchased and installed through legitimate means. This means that pirated games can be updated and played online just like normal games. The only exception to this is if the game is from a different region then the 3ds itself. Those games muse be updated via a dumped update CIA file, which are easy to come by.
Lastly there comes the fear of being banned from Nintendo's online services, which for the most part have been blown out of proportion. As stated earlier, a cfw 3ds is no different then a regular 3ds aside from a few patches here and there. This makes it 100 percent impossible for Nintendo to detect a console running a cfw, and thus impossible to ban. Even running games invested via a cia file online are guaranteed to work fine online. Now this isn't to say that bans are impossible to come by. Many cfw users have been banned for unknown reasons. Though not much is known about these bans, there are several things that are known. 1: it is not caused by running a cfw or using pirated games. 2: users who do not use CIA Homebrew apps and instead use Rosalina 3dsx loading have been shown to be unbanned. 3: cheating online or playing leaked roms before they have been released will 100 percent result in a ban. From these clues, it can be concluded that people who simply use Rosalina to load 3dsx Homebrew instead of using custom Homebrew CIA files are nearly guaranteed to be safe from any future banwaves.
Again this might be a bit long to read, but I wanted to get this info out there, and so I would never have to bring this up ever again. People are free to quote this in their own posts if they feel this gets a good point across. I might update this post for updated information and/or spelling corrections. This was typed in the middle of the night on mobile so spelling mistakes are bound to be abundant.
Also as mentioned above, you can install cfw to your 11.2 console in a matter of minutes, and use that console to install cfw to to others.

You'll find it much easier if you install CFW, then you'll always have access to homebrew. If you want to have access to homebrew on your friend's console WITHOUT CFW, you'll have to buy them a copy of Cubic Ninja or Freaky Forms Deluxe, both of which will be quite expensive. The only other alternative to give them homebrew in 2 days (assuming you don't already own a ntrboot capable flashcart) is installing CFW on your console and using DSiWare hax to give CFW to your friend's. If you're not willing to do that, and you can't find Freaky Forms Deluxe or Cubic Ninja for sale locally (they would be very hard to find) then you can't give your friend homebrew. Sorry.

Edit: Ocarina of Time MAY work, but there have been many threads from people who couldn't get it to work on 11.6, so if you bought it you may be wasting your money. It would require you to install the exploit on the cartridge before giving it to your friend. There are a few similar games, like Sticker Star. See https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(alternatives)

Is it possible to use a flashcart to run the homebrew launcher once? And how does it work? Is it just a .nds file or something else?

What about download play? I don't know about 3DS download play but for DS download play there's haxxstation
If you're looking for DS homebrew on a DS you're best off in the DS forum. I don't think you could get DS homebrew through the 3DS download play app, but if you could, you wouldn't be any better off than running it straight from a DS flashcart

not even that'll work for 3DS Homebrew launcher. if you fear getting caught in the next banwave as far as we all know even using HBL even just once may flag your console, no one knows what does and doesnt contribute to ban factors.

I guess I'll just have to wait for a new exploit on 11.6
your going to be waiting awhile then. theres extremely unlikely to be anything released untill ist patched by a later FW, (which happened allready before) or 3DS gets offically marked as EndOfLife
