HENkaku offline hacks coming soon

According to a tweet from resident Vita hacker Yifan Lu, soon the HENkaku exploit will be able to be launched offline by simply opening an email. There is no word of release as of yet, but it is confirmed that it will only support firmware 3.60.

It'll be released, according to XYZ.
It's a VPK for an installer, when launched it downloads latest payload and makes a new email account.

For all you people who actually use Vita's email (you really shouldn't) you can continue to do so.

Wait so. We won't actually have to connect to Wi-Fi ? It will open the email app.. And install from within the email app?

Edited: just seen the video .. Yup :) yes!!!

Sweet! (Still will need internet to FTP tho)
Well yeah, but now you'll be able to play emulators and stuff when you're out and about, without having to leave your Vita on standby :3

I'm just wondering why you'd rather be on 3.57 than 3.60. Since 3.60 can do everything 3.60 can, and also has HENkaku.

Don't you mean "Since 3.60 can do everything 3.57 can..." There are two 3.60s in the sentence twice, lol. Anyway, I just hate to do it again and again. I hope one day we will not need to do it again and again.

Yes.

That's why I prefer my PS Vita to be 3.57 or lower because I hate to do it again and again. @_@
But... the Vita's standby life is about 1 Forever, and you only need to run it on a bootup.
Also, we're getting offline HENkaku Soon(TM) via Email, so it'll get even easier.

I know but I will keep watching before I make my final decision. :) Thanks.

I do but the optometrist I got my glasses at last year was expensive as fuck even WITH my insurance, so I'm gonna order on Zenni and see if my insurance will reimburse it. And if they won't, then, oh well, still will be cheaper anyway
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
$90 for the safety glasses on Zenni, vs my daily wear glasses were >$200 after insurance
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Haven't been to the eye doc in like 3 years but was pretty surprised they cut the glass in office had the in like an hour ready
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
That's pretty sweet, I had to wait like a week or so for mine to be ready
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:

But even my computer monitors, that are like 3ft away when I'm leaning back in my chair, so much easier to see now with my glasses than without
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Doc was cool though, he measured my old glasses and I wanted to try different contacts than I had had previously and he's like "hmmm I bet you're this strength and that strength" and damn dude was dead on the money
