Hello everyone!

I bought a Nintendo 2ds last week that doesn't work. When i try to boot up the system a blue light flashes on and off once (both with or without the sd card that came with it). The battery seems to work perfectly and i took it apart to see if all the cables and stuff where still in place so that shouldn't be the issue either.

So i checked out the sd card because i found out online that the conslole i bought could've been modded and i found on this forum a post with an answer about a missing arm9loaderhax file. But when i checked the sd card the sd card was empty. The sd card name is Nintendo but there are no other files on it.

I tried putting that arm9loaderhax file on it but do i need to put more files on it or is it a lost cause because the other files have been deleted?

Thanks in advance for taking your time to answer!

It worked thank you! :)

Can i now do a Format System Memory, update the 2ds and use it normally or do i need to keep these files on it?

I just want to use it to play some games i own

You can format the memory as far as I know without any issues.
Formatting the memory does not format the card.
If you would like to remove the files from the card and start fresh, you would need to unmod the console.
Unless you are going to be using the system in a tournament or something that needs a stock system, I would leave it modded, in fact I would complete the mod and install the basic recommended apps and then do a NAND backup. IMHO, a modded system is worth having regardless if you will use any features it provides.
