Hardware [Help] New 3DS XL spazzy touch screen

Hey all. Pardon if this is a really silly question, but I've recently notice that my N3DSXL's touch screen has become very "spazzy", as in I can't hold a point down reliably, and I've tried screen calibration multiple times to no avail.

I've had a 3DS for years, have I simply never noticed this or is there something off? If it really is more unstable than usually, is there any way to go about fixing something like this short of sending it to Nintendo? (Can't really do that because reasons.)

Unless you can replace the digitizer by yourself, I don't really see a way.

Bah, bummer. Well, thanks regardless.
It only really gets annoying in Animal Crossing anyhow.
