Help me get a programming job?

When I interview programers, I always ask questions like:

Why are manhole covers round?

and if they dont have a good reason for picking their answer, its No Dice for them.

bring samples of your coding and be able to talk about reasoning and analyzing

I absolutely nailed the interview.

Since it's actually a "trainee" position where no coding background was necessary, it wasn't really necessary to bring code samples or even to bring knowledge of coding to the interview. I had still read about 15 hours of a "Teach yourself Java in 24 hours" book though, in order to get prepared.

So I guess my question is now, what sorts of things should I do to prepare for their training program? I'd like to learn as much as possible about programming in Java before the training program starts, so I'd love to know what you guys think would be most beneficial for me.

what kinda of java environment?
is it just java applets, using jinitiator, etc?
