Hardware Help Identifying a GBA SP Model?

Hey all, So there's a guy selling a GBA SP from my local area for around $70, which seemed like a poor deal until I looked at the image (linked below). From what I can tell the screen looks like an AGS-101, and since I'm in Canada and these things are kind of scarce I'm more than happy to pay $70 for one of those. I emailed the seller for more images (of the bottom label, etc.) before I buy it, but I thought I'd come to the guys that actually know what they're talking about before anything, so tell me does this look like a 101 or is it just a 001?

According to the seller it's Onyx, which I'm pretty sure was a 001 color but again the image makes it difficult to tell.

As far as I can tell that's a pearl blue, I have an ags-101 in that color. Not sure if the 001 came in that color.

The 001 was never released in pearl blue, that was a 101 thing afaik. It looks like a pearl blue to me as well but I want to get a few other people's input too, since $70 for a 001 is kind of ridiculous.

That shell looks silver on my monitor. I'd just contact him and ask him if it says 'AGS-101' on the sticker, or ask him for a photo of it switched on. Should be able to tell that way.

I have an official backlit onyx SP. On it are black buttons as opposed to the gray ones pictured. That may not say anything, though.

EDIT: Yeah it kind of looks like a pearl blue one, not onyx. Either way, my money's on the unit being frontlit.

I have one like that that is the 101, just ask him to be sure

If the screen is dark then its a 101. If its gray then its a 001.

Oh I remember this model.. It is pearl blue as people are say. Hmm it has back light? Two levels of light. Not off or on. Only low brightness and max brightness.

Thanks all for your input! I ended up getting in contact with the seller who showed me the device in person (it was a pearl blue ags-101) and I was happy to pay the $70 for it.

Glad I got my hands on one now too, since they're getting pretty scarce especially around where I live.
