hi everyone.first of all I have a fat (oled) vita on 3.65 hankaku enso with no Vita memory card and only Sd2vita memory.(I bought it second hand a while back).so the thing is last week it got stuck and after forced reboot there isn't any game or app (not even vita shell is left).there are original sony apps. I tried reformating and setting up Sd2vita but no success at all.Hankakau menu is in the settings but when I press unlick memory it says there is no memory.
Now do I need to buy vita memory to set up sd2vita again?( I'm a bit broke at the moment so if I can avoid this it would be awesome.)
any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

It says 0GB in content manager.
you need to install vitashell and if you saw your sd card memory on settings I could send you my vitashell backup but right now you need an official memory card, look for 4 gb cards, maybe from ebay, you will only need it for setting up vitashell and sd card

okay, give me an hour to go home and then I will send you my vitashell backup, and you need to install qmca to your pc for installing backup files to your pc.
I think it is the easiest way to install back vitashell

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
