I bought a hacked 2DS, so I could play Monster Hunter XX in English, but when I use the Homebrew Launcher, I get an error.

It says "Failed to download the actual payload with HTTP: 0xd8a0a03c ."

Can someone please help me?

Is wifi on and configured?
You might have to update hblauncher_loader: https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases

I get into the launcher through the 2DS home page. I have the latest version of Luma.
With the latest Luma you don't need payloads. Launching Download Play should load homebrew launcher. If it doesn't, follow this:
  1. Launch the Download Play application
  2. Press (L) + (Down) + (Select) at the same time to open the Rosalina menu
  3. Select “Miscellaneous options”
  4. Select “Switch the hb. title to the current app.”
  5. Press (B) to continue
  6. Press (B) to return to the Rosalina main menu
  7. Press (B) to exit the Rosalina menu
  8. Press (Home), then close Download Play
  9. Launch the Download Play application
  10. Your device should load the Homebrew Launcher
This is the recommended way to load homebrew due to ban risks with CIA homebrew.

Okay, I'm on the Homebrew Launcher. How do I access the region-free launcher?

Thanks for the help on the Homebrew Launcher issue.

I know that finding the region-free launcher is another issue, but I don't want to make a new thread for it unless I have to.

if you got cfw its region free and what do you need the region free launcher for?
I need it to play Monster Hunter XX, which was never released outside of Japan.

What's "cfw"?

you can check if your on luma3ds by holding the select button when powering on the 3ds if your booting luma3ds from the sysnand.
Okay, I did that and got this. Crap quality, I know. It says "Luma3DS v9.0 configuration."
