Hardware Hard Drive Connection to Hard Modded Wii

I am trying to find a step by step guide to install a WD Essential 500GB hard drive to my hard modded wii with ver 3.4U. Everything I've found was for soft mod connection. I do not have home brew or anything like that on my wii. I put copied games in and play them. Can someone provide a link to a step by step guide or provide instructions on how to set up a hard drive for a hard modded wii. Thanks.

reason you only find softmod guides is because you need a softmod to use a harddrive connected to your wii.

you can softmod a chipped wii. follow a guide from here and you will be on your way.

You could buy a WODE, but for everything else you need homebrew.
