Halo Wars demo release date and shipping date announced
Announced at CES 2009

During Microsoft's CES Key note, Robbie Bach announced that the Halo Wars demo will be released on XBOX Live Marketplace on Feburary 26th. Although no region was specificed, we're lead to assume this means worldwide. The game is scheduled to be released on Feburary 26th in Japan, following a Middle East, Europe and Africa release date on Feburary 27th, and then rounding it up with a March 3rd release for the U.S.

The reason I'm pretty surprised at this is the fact that THERE IS a Middle East release date..
Looks like Micrsooft supports this corner of the Earth much much better than Nintendo's(nonexistant) support. Wonder how Sony does..

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
