Hacking GW 3.4 How to spoof firmware?

Hello guys,
i have the latest gateway launcher on my new 3DS with emunand 9.5. Sadly i don't know how i can spoof the firmware so i can access to the e-Shop or play games which need a higher firmware.

You can't access eshop 9.5 emuNAND on New3DS due to new encryption key introduced into 9.6.

You'll have to sit tight while Gateway Team breaks the new crypto.

Remember, most people still use original 3DS, where eShop is accessible all the way upto 9.9.

Also, firmware spoofing is used for other things, such as playing 3DS games which require higher firmware.

freemultipatcher will allow you to access eshop, install the cia, and you need to run it every time you boot up emunand (as in when you first access gateway exploit, not every time you switch games)

It's already implemented into "Gateway Mode" which is what you boot into once you run the exploit and also "Classic Mode" used for playing retail cartridges.

But you will never access the eShop on New3DS in Gateway Mode until the new encryption has been broken.

This begs to differ I can go on eshop in gateway mode or any CFW for that matter on emunand 9.5 (or sysnand 9.0) no problem. https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-free-multi-patcher.391945/ Just have to run it once every reboot which isn't so bad.

No new crypto cracking for 9.6+ emunand needed.

Oh, yes, I see. Well in my defense, i don't online game or use the eShop so...... I could edit my post to say "Gateway on it's own can't access eShop"

haha fair enough. Yeah i rarely do either, actually i do more messing with homebrew (Decrypt9 mainly) than actually playing games on my 3ds's lately haha

I did it about an hour ago and it works great. Although its on sysnand, but it works good.
