What's broken about GW's 8.1J support? I thought OOT/CN had that covered.

gw does not really work on 8.1j, no multirom etc etc, but you can still update emunand so that is ok :)
and naturally, once emunand is on something that is not 8.1, you are ok :)

The only problem is, people with 8.1J just now* entering the gateway "game" are completely out of luck, because updating emuNAND results in getting 9.6, making Gateway completely useless for them. Hopefully they'll push an update soon (not Gateway soon) so the multi-rom menu works on 8.1..

*I imagine most of us who have Gateway + 8.1J were quick enough to get 9.5 emuNANDs, but that won't help the few who will eventually run into this problem.

Updating via classic mode cart is not out of the question, is what I believe cearp was getting at

That's probably true, but there are no Japanese games out yet that result in a desirable firmware (9.2), though I guess for emuNAND's sake Majora's Mask Japanese (comes with 9.4) would work fine.

I haven't made up my mind if I should get a sky3ds or a legit copy of MM to update my emunand 8.1J or just wait for GW to support 9.6.

Careful.....I would suggest to update to 9.2 at least as the latest 9.6 is still not supported.

Does anyone have a copy of NTR's release.zip? The filetrip link in the NTR thread doesn't work.

I have the NTR_PUBLIC_BETA_412986.zip which works on all region N3DSes.

*REMOVED*

I lied I do have Release.zip

*REMOVED.

NTR 2.1 is about to be released. Wait until that!

I can confirm it works nicely.

    But it's a dead end

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
