Hacking Upgrading N3DS 8.1.0-0J

I have a N3DS with firmware 8.1.0-0J and a Sky3DS with CN(J).

• I probably want to upgrade to 9.2.
• Able to play cia and region free.
• Possibly a custom firmware that is English?

What are my options? I took a look at the threads below but I wanna be sure on the exact steps I need to take.

I have a method that's almost done that I'll make public as soon as I can insure it wont brick. Other then my method I don't know of any other progress.

My method requires gateway, sky3ds, two n3ds units and a bunch of software

That method is no longer available. Nintendo has removed the files.

Well 3.0 was a cia.... You would need to update past 8.1 to properly use 3.0

Could I find those removed files somewhere? If I had them, how would I do this.
