CLEAR!

and clear!
I'm sorry to say it, but above guide really sucks big time. How do you set bootmii as boot2 ??

You don't give any explanation where to put the files...

Uberfail...

its a beta so please be patient and youll see it will be an good guide!

Then you should'nt have put it on yet. If people on 3.2 run Updater 4.1 or 4.2. It will install stubs.

Between 4 and 5, you should advise ppl not to install wanin's if they cant set bootmii as boot2.

Something else, having bootmii as boot2 doesnt implies it will "fire" once installed the IOS60 stub. In fact, many users have "lost" bootmii after this IOS60 instalation.

You'll have to change with editor bootmii.ini (see this post)

After that..it might "fire".

Personally i think you have good intentions, but a tutorial never should be posted before tried with success at least once, and it seems this isnt "tunned up".

I guess it's too dangerous to be posted, specially to eagger-modding-kids, that dont think wiselly and do anything after reading it.

why not use firmware downgrader 1.1 mod124 tells you when the program starts what boot2 version you have and if it is safe to downgrade your Wii you can use it to upgrade/downgrade your firmware to whatever versions and region you want even 4.2

This is what you have to do:

1st Install bootmii as boot2 and Install HBC
2nd Download the Waninkokos updater to 4.1
When the update is clear it looklike's that your wii is brickt.
BUT open in bootmii the HBC and WAD MANAGER 1.5

3rd Install the Ios-60-Trucha.wad

And system menu is back!

info edit by discobear,
That's just stupid. Why wouldn't you install IOS-60 wad first, and then run the updater ??
From what I've heard Wanin's updater will not overwrite it if it's already present.

Still I think this thread should be blasted into space. It's very dangerous !

Ps. this time I pressed the 'report' button.

I know you mean well, but you are a bit stubborn and unwilling to take some good advice from more experienced users then yourself. (And by experienced, I'm not talking about me

I've been getting reports on this thread fairly often now. I usually don't close threads about any given tutorial that might brick your console, unless it's a sure thing that it doesn't work under any circumstance. I'm in a quandary over this one though. If you really only have to downgrade to 4.1 for the desired effect, why bother with a more risky downgrade?

I haven't modded my Wii, so I'm kinda dumb on this subject, but from what I can glean from reading, I'm likely closing this thread soon, unless somebody can give some clear, concise reasons why it's worthwhile.

I'll leave it open for the time being for replies, or just PM me.

Thanks a million.

edit: Closing thread. PM me with reasons for unlocking it and I'll re-open if they're sound. Thanks.

@mrthnite i like 3.2 because i can load fakesigned ISOs from flatmii. in any higher menu version ive tried, i get the black screen with white letters about an error occurring. so to use any other system menu for loading guitar hero customs, i must hack and patch and fakesign the IOS that the system menu uses. i know this only affects a small percentage of users, but it still is a legitimate reason for people to want to downgrade to/ stay at 3.2. while i dont need a guide to do this, some people might.
