Hello all! I'm new in this forum. I'm from Spain.

My question is about the new european rom in R4.

- Replacing the ARM files works but WIFI doesn't work.
- I want to use the ROM with clean rom+Ysmenu+usrcheat fix. I've tried editing the USRCHEAT with the fix for US rom (created in this great forum ), changing the ID to the EUR version, but doesn't work. It says: ""patch install... open ttreset.dat error!"

What can I do?

EDIT: I've tried the USA rom and i have THE SAME PROBLEM!!! What's wrong?

EDIT: WORKS!!! the FIX: Rename the folder "Ysmenu" to "TTMenu".

In YSmenu, The game freezes when you make the skull missions (the old "Kill Frenzy")

I'm not sure maybe I've got a bad ROM or something because it doesn't work when I replace the ARM9 alone and many others can. The only way I can get GTA to work is if I replace both the ARM7 and ARM9. And when I do THAT... my cheat codes don't even show up.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

You don't need to patch them you just use the code. Make sure you have the English version. And when you add the code in r4cce make sure you do "Add New Game" and the game ID matches the one in the first post. And when adding the game make sure "Game On" is ticked. One last thing is make sure Instant Codes are enabled.

Do the cheat on a clean rom, patched roms except the one patched with the bomberman arm7 don't let you go on wifi.

Thanks, Altair! No patching needed to use on my SupercardDSOne.
Supercard users; download .scc cheat from Altair's post, name it the same as GTACW rom , put .scc in same folder as rom, enable cheats, play.

Hey. Thanks for replying Delta but I'm still not having any luck. Is Game Enabled the same thing as "Game On". And can anyone please tell me where to find the option to turn on/off instant codes? I've read some earlier posts and many people said you can't just use the clean rom for R4 and that you have to use YSMenu. Can anyone help me out?

Yah I don't think the R4 has instant code capability so maybe that's why you need YSmenu. There's a patch for it floating around somewhere that makes it usable on the R4 so I would use that.

And yes Game Enabled is the same as Game On.

Works perfectly for european version bar a few exceptions.

1) I can't use the flamethrower, which is unfortunate due to one of the missions needing that. And:
2) I can't respond to arsons while doing vigilante missions.

There very well may be more, but those two crash the game consistently.


Otherwise, it's great. I absolutely love the game =)
Better IMO than the newer ones. I love the arcade style action.

Sorry, I know people will be annoyed at me for asking but can anyone quickly type up a guide for using AR code on a clean rom to be used on an R4 (1.18 firmware).

I have never used AR cheats before so not sure how it works. I also have never swapped ARM7.

I am experiencing some slowdown in the game and from what Ive read, it may be because I am using a patched version, so I want to try the AR method. Wifi is not much an issue for me, but if that works that would be bonus.

Would really appreciate the help, thanks!

I'm using an old M3 slot-2 adapter. Can I use these AR codes on this device? If so, can someone link me to a guide/tell me how?

EDIT: bumjeans: for an R4 try this. I couldn't figure it out though, the software they gave me didn't match up with what he was saying. But it worked for everyone else though.

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and would like to thank those contributing to the "scene". I'm completely new to ROM hacking and I have no idea what to do.

I recently got GTA CW but no idea how I can get online as I freeze or hang at the point when I try to search for a WiFi access point. Could someone point me in the right direction please? I believe I am using a "already patched" rom to play but I read that you need an unpatched version to fix the wifi part?

but the next mission required a dragon to breathe fire, which of course screws up the game as well.


i think it has something to do with the fire effect...

i think it has something to do with the fire effect...

I had the flamethrower (cash & burn freeze) issue, but, with another rom-dump without trimming it, it's fine, don't know why.

I need to ask a question... Since YSMenu is no longer hosted or cannot be downloaded on the official Japanese website, where can I download YSMenu? Google hasn't been a good friend of mine recently
