When trying to go through games smoothly and be able to play any game, with pretty decent settings ex(Fortnite Epic Settings), would I have to upgrade GPU or CPU, also when upgrading, how willl I know if that would fit my pc or not, wouldnt want to buy one, and have to send it back due to it being to big/small for my motherboard.

I would suggest GPU but wait a few weeks its predicted GPU prices will drop 40% soon

GTX are really

300$, I cant do It, ima just buy the GTX rn. What will I do with the one I have right now?
A genuine GTX 1050 Ti will probably still cost a bit. There are a bunch of scams GPUs on eBay so be wary of that. If you get scammed you can often get a full refund. Sometimes you even get to keep the card, and sometimes you do get a card worth the price you paid even if it's not what you were expecting. Of course scam GPUs are flashed read as the card they're represented as, so a misrepresented 2 GB DDR5 card might show as GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB DRR5 but will run into a lot of issues, especially if a game isn't properly compatible or it tries to go over 2 GB of memory.

If you ditch the current GPU keep it around for another PC build, sell it, or give it to a friend.

For now just play games with low or medium settings. I find 30 FPS completely playable myself as long as there's no stutter. I'd rather a solid locked 30 than bouncing around from 40 to up to 60 constantly.

I have 180$ can you help me find an upgrade and link it?

You could try hunting around Craigslist, an irl friend found a listing for a GTX 1060 6gb for 300$ and was able to haggle the price down to 200$ last weekend. You could also try your luck on an eBay auction.
You see, I am just a gamer, I bough a prebuild computer because I know nothing NOTHING about computer builds/ interior, If I were to do that I would not know what GPU's are downgrades, upgrades, sidegrades or what have you. I wouldnt know what is a rip off or if im being scammed, thats how much of a fresh meat I am.
