To any who can help,

I recently got a used PSP Go, OFW (I think) 6.60. To my great surprise, despite having to go through the initial set-up, there were already four games on it! Considering the low amount I paid for it, it was quite a good deal. But then I connected the Go to my computer via USB, and here's where I got confused. Out of the nine folders displayed, seven of them had an odd display for "Last date modified". The date was December 31, 1979. The affected folders are as follows:

APP, COMMON, GAME, RSSCH, SAVEDATA, SYSTEM, THEME.

The reason I bring this up is because this Go may already have been hacked once, or is still under the temporary hack, albeit with FastRecovery missing. I was planning on using the temporary hack anyway, but I don't want to accidentally brick the device if its already been messed with. How can I tell if it was hacked before I got it?

If there's nothing significant about this and Windows just sucks at file management, then I apologize for wasting anybody's time.

My guess is that the previous owner had their PC on a weird date and that is what was recorded on the files. Now if that would effect putting CFW on it I am not sure since I haven't been on 6.60 OFW before.

Hope someone can give you a clear answer about it though, the GO is a nice device :)

Your PSP is a time machine that has visited the past :O

But seriously, go to System Settings and check System Information. If it's hacked, it'll say "6.60 PRO-B10". If it's not hacked, it'll say "Version 6.60".

If you only have those folders (plus another two you didn't name), then i doubt it's been soft modded.

Yeah, it looks like you're right. It's just that I'm not very tech-savvy with Sony products, so I wanted to make absolutely sure I wouldn't screw anything up. I'll guess I'll try the temporary hack later today.

All of you, thanks for your help.
