Google to open its first Stadia video game studio in Montréal
Google Stadia is planned to release this November and with this news, we can expect some exclusives to hit the platform in the near future. What would you like to play on the Stadia?
So many excuses in ther it beggars belief-so many games bring made replaying a game is pointless - couldn't giv a cows arse re companies not being able to make more gaming computer hardware end of the day the gamer wants access to play games at the best technology available and if thts a subscription with streaming then so be it - but I'm sure streaming and gaming hardware can live together for the time being - noone can predict wher gaming wil be in 20 yearsthe difference in streaming is that the games can be pulled out of the list at any moment which means if you want to replay a game you might not be able too because its not streaming anymore, i cant tell how many times every couple years i take out all my splinter cell ps2 games and replay them all, and i can because i have the console and disc so i can play them for as long as the discs work wich is a couple hundred years xD
on streaming if the license ends same way they end on ps store or xbox live if the game is pulled out of the service is bye bye, specialy if games become streaming exclusive.
Also people are forgetting if streaming becomes the main way to play games computer gpu and cpu developments will come to an almost stand still because even a potato computer can stream noone will spent hundreds on better gpu/cpu so computer development will take a huge hit if streaming becomes the norm.
If you don't want to revisit things then so be it. Others seem to do OK in that though. So many excuses in ther it beggars belief-so many games bring made replaying a game is pointless - couldn't giv a cows arse re companies not being able to make more gaming computer hardware end of the day the gamer wants access to play games at the best technology available and if thts a subscription with streaming then so be it - but I'm sure streaming and gaming hardware can live together for the time being - noone can predict wher gaming wil be in 20 years
even netflix is like this, how many times i see a show and i want to start season one and they already lost the rights and there are only season 2 or 3 in there its annoying. So many excuses in ther it beggars belief-so many games bring made replaying a game is pointless - couldn't giv a cows arse re companies not being able to make more gaming computer hardware end of the day the gamer wants access to play games at the best technology available and if thts a subscription with streaming then so be it - but I'm sure streaming and gaming hardware can live together for the time being - noone can predict wher gaming wil be in 20 years

streaming stuff will make everyone who didn't play a game when it was released to loose out on it possibly forever, how many times does one not buy a game that came out several years ago because we just discovered it today? i know i do, because one cant ever play every single game that gets released on any given time.
You aren't a preacher In a church, but you should be. Speak the truth and let this shit burn like a dumpster fire. There's one huge difference between this and Netflix.
Netflix is only one charge per month, you only play for the service and that's it.
With the Google BS, you have to pay for the monthly service, AND the games you stream.
That's the huge difference a lot of people seem to forget; you only pay Netflix one fee, Google Stadia you have to pay the fee and the game price. I hope this utter trash fails, the day we can't keep games is the day pirating is more and more appealing, just to piss off companies too lazy to release games we can keep. Now, with digital downloads, even that's better, because it's in your possession on an HDD.
Calm down and stop talking like an idiot - I'm not saying streaming should be the only thing but should be available as another option for gamers and sick of gamers slagging it off for various reasons like area wher live or the extra cost for needing more data thts not googled fault so deal with it - majority of people will be able stream with no issues so it's a good thing and as before I'm sure both streaming and buying games from shops will continue for years to comeWhats with @DANTENDO being a complete fucking streaming shill. No, I do not want my games to be all digital, because that just gives companies more control over what should technically be YOUR games since YOU FUCKING PAID FOR THEM YOU DUMBASS
The internet is everywhere yes, but not everyone has enough internet to stream all THEIR GAMES, which is retarded since they're my fucking games. Also, like many other people stated, what if the company loses the license to the game? The game gets removed, and you can't play it even though it's your own. That's one thing i hate about this all digital movement, you're just giving the greedy selfish corporations what you should own, alongside some money. I don't care if I'm being harsh here, supporting stadia is fucking stupid.

Speeds and data caps seem like reasonable objections to have, and do rather serve to add on to the list of downsides otherwise discussed (cost, no second hand, less scope for mods, less scope for local play, difficulty in travel...). In no case did people say it was Google's fault either, just that if they expect an audience that such a thing might be a dumb decision and a thread on the matter on a discussion forum dealing with games seems like a fairly decent place to note such concerns.Calm down and stop talking like an idiot - I'm not saying streaming should be the only thing but should be available as another option for gamers and sick of gamers slagging it off for various reasons like area wher live or the extra cost for needing more data thts not googled fault so deal with it - majority of people will be able stream with no issues so it's a good thing and as before I'm sure both streaming and buying games from shops will continue for years to come
Thers a few members who constantly every thread slag it off and it's pathetic like saying hope stadia fails just because ther against streaming they should be ashamed of themselves - I agree people can criticise it but hoping a system fails is childish and they need to grow upSpeeds and data caps seem like reasonable objections to have, and do rather serve to add on to the list of downsides otherwise discussed (cost, no second hand, less scope for mods, less scope for local play, difficulty in travel...). I disagree. Handing google the reins of gaming does represent a threat to something special and as such hoping it fails at market is no bad thing.Thers a few members who constantly every thread slag it off and it's pathetic like saying hope stadia fails just because ther against streaming they should be ashamed of themselves - I agree people can criticise it but hoping a system fails is childish and they need to grow up
What's Google done so bad tht they can't be allowed to be part of gamingI disagree. Handing google the reins of gaming does represent a threat to something special and as such hoping it fails at market is no bad thing.
Do you really want the developers of android, heralds of all that comes with android, company that does all they do with youtube and so forth a proper seat at the table, much less with a streaming setup? They may well be able to carve one out, or even come back with a reasonable response when I tell them to dance for me little jester, but I don't see why they should be welcomed with open arms. What's Google done so bad tht they can't be allowed to be part of gaming
I don't see any specific point Yr making why they shouldn't be allowed to hav a part in the gaming industry - Yr Talking like a politician no straight answerDo you really want the developers of android, heralds of all that comes with android, company that does all they do with youtube and so forth a proper seat at the table, much less with a streaming setup? While I am good at speaking diplomatically as they used to call it I gave several reasons in that and the previous reply. Their generally censorious and manipulative nature for the likes of youtube, their somewhat fondness for monopolies (granted this is an additional one as far as this conversation but not a new one in the world at large), they have allowed android to be the cesspool it is despite otherwise exercising controls over things, and this in addition to the other negatives of streaming (continued costs, no second hand, far less scope for mods, few cheats).I don't see any specific point Yr making why they shouldn't be allowed to hav a part in the gaming industry - Yr Talking like a politician no straight answer
I still can't find anything in yr comment tht deserves for them to fail - i hav no issues with android on my phone and YouTube has helped me a lot finding older music and to mention cheats Wth so if someone played with cheats be it sp game would you play with them in a multiplayer online game I don't think soWhile I am good at speaking diplomatically as they used to call it I gave several reasons in that and the previous reply. They are allowed to try and I would not seek to block them by law or similar, just as anybody else is, but they have some serious negatives as a company and I see nothing wrong with telling them to piss off and come back with something which entertains me and caters to my whims for a price I care to pay.
That would probably speak more to your reading comprehension then (something tht the horrible abbreviations yr using might well attest to). If they are costs you are willing to pay then so be it but I don't see much justification for acting as indignantly as you appear to be when others say it ain't for them.I still can't find anything in yr comment tht deserves for them to fail - i hav no issues with android on my phone and YouTube has helped me a lot finding older music and to mention cheats Wth so if someone played with cheats be it sp game would you play with them in a multiplayer online game I don't think so![]()
The only reason I can think of you want Google to fail is because you feel like they hav to much control over ther products which why shouldn't they its ther product and ther trying to protect it whereas you want control over ther products so you can mod hack etc - fair enough you can do tht but thts no reason to want them to failThat would probably speak more to your reading comprehension then (something tht the horrible abbreviations yr using might well attest to). On the matter of cheats then if you think they are only there to ruin the challenge of multiplayer then you must have missed out out on a lot. I highly encourage you to look up various aspects of hard mode hacks, bug fix hacks, challenge hacks and similar such things, as well as more traditional game mods. If you have ever made a savestate or placed a save somewhere to replay a section or replay a section with a friend then it is that sort of experience which well crafted cheats can produce, and this is without getting into the busywork debate (if you make a pokemon that is perfectly within "natural"/legal specs and otherwise able to be made in short enough order with normal play then do you represent a cheater from the perspective of someone doing high level play?).
I have repeated stated reasons for myself and elaborated upon those others provided. The only reason I can think of you want Google to fail is because you feel like they hav to much control over ther products which why shouldn't they its ther product and ther trying to protect it whereas you want control over ther products so you can mod hack etc - fair enough you can do tht but thts no reason to want them to fail
