Google to open its first Stadia video game studio in Montréal
Google Stadia is planned to release this November and with this news, we can expect some exclusives to hit the platform in the near future. What would you like to play on the Stadia?
They aren't? I thought that was what the subscription was for. You can buy games one by one to play them without a sub, or pay for a sub and get access to everything but only while you're subbed. That's how I understood it anyway.Normally this would be the kind of thing you line up years before launch so you can actually release with some decent exclusives. Showing off a 1000 player BR in the initial announcement instead of speculating about it would've turned heads.. Now the genre will be dead by the time they get something likethat out.
If google offered a subscription to access everything, sure. But they aren't.
It is more like buy-to-play always-online games, which is all companies like Blizzard and Ubisoft seem interested in now.
its not the same at all, in netflix when a new series or movie comes along you can see it as long as your subscribed to netflix, on stadia you pay for the service and then you pay for the games as well, the stadia subscription so far only gives you free destiny 2 , everything else you need to buy and keep paying the subscription also, so double pay, nothing like netflix at all lol. It's as same as you watch films on Netflix, u pay for service, but you won't own of any films u watch.
no you always need to pay subscription and then the game, google wont let you stream without both, i guess in the long run they will decrease the games individual price or even made them free like destiny 2, but right now you pay to stream and pay for every single game. They aren't? Dude, it's as same as microzoz' game pass, you have access only those game are licensed to Google.google offered a subscription to access everything, sure. But they aren't.
google even said usbisoft pass or whatever is gonna be part of stadia so to play ubisoft games you will pay google streaming service and ubsidoft game pass so ouch that will hurt, and then other company's start doing the same crap your paying gold to play even half of the games on stadia.Dude, it's as same as microzoz' game pass, you have access only those game are licensed to Google.
You sub for games, you pay for dlc, simple!its not the same at all, in netflix when a new series or movie comes along you can see it as long as your subscribed to netflix, on stadia you pay for the service and then you pay for the games as well, the stadia subscription so far only gives you free destiny 2 , everything else you need to buy and keep paying the subscription also, so double pay, nothing like netflix at all lol.
Same as $ony's psn+, m$ gold, you won'thhave access those game when subscription expires.Wow, so I get to pay for games on top of the subscription service for games I can't even keep? Wow!
lol you are dreaming, so far they say you pay for the subscription and then pay 60$ full price for any new game, just look it up, that is how its gonna be, ubisoft or EA or any game studio would just get afew cents so you could stream their brand new 70$ game, it just doesn't work like that. You sub for games, you pay for dlc, simple!
As any other stream service you indeed have access free games, but you don't have to purchase dlcs.
you dont pay for the games when paying for subscription, that is not google stadia business model you need to inform yourself.Same as $ony's psn+, m$ gold, you won'thhave access those game when subscription expires.
I'm not sure what you mean. GBAtemp members are kind of a niche group. The majority of the mindless drones in the general population will be all for Stadia.I genuinely think that I'm part of the 1% of the people who aren't completely against Stadia.
How Netflix started is already very well documented. In a nutshell they just replaced a dying movie rental business model.I wonder if Netflix started out with similar reactions.
"why would I pay for series that I don't own afterward?"
But meh... I can't really think of any game either. I'll see what they can cook up, but I doubt they'll sell me anything.
You may hate it but youl learn to accept it as noone would quit gaming over it-and if companies save money by going digital then they hav the right to do tht - enjoy the gaming experience you don't need a box to look at to remind you tht you had fun with tht gameHope stadia fails. I hate to see a all digital future where games get taken down & no physical copies.
These same companies are all proving why they can't be allowed to have such a future. Digital should provide more ways than ever to preserve the best. Instead, lawyers and accountants are finding more ways to lock us out of our own purchases and products. You may hate it but youl learn to accept it as noone would quit gaming over it-and if companies save money by going digital then they hav the right to do tht - enjoy the gaming experience you don't need a box to look at to remind you tht you had fun with tht game
