Hacking Ghostbusters: The Video Game Green/Black Screen

I've been mostly keeping up with this thread.. Here is how I got it to work...

NTSC Wii 4.0u
ciosrev9
NeoGammaR4 with the "Anti 002 fix" set to yes.

It plays best off of USB hard drive.

If I play it off of DVD it locks up at the safety screen UNLESS I removed the SD card. A pain, but it works. Is this because the card is mounted or unmounted before running?

NeoGamma is the only thing that can run it under ciosrev9 for me.
I use GX for everything else so far, although I'm gonna work on setting up Neogamme for some .dol loading.

Next on the list to test My Sims racing and Indy...

Before anyone asks I stick to ciosrev9 because Animal Crossing locks up under ciosrev13a. My other half would kill if I cripple that game.

USBloader GX, Cios38_Rev13, SoftMod 4.0 - works perfectly for me. Ghostbusters loads right up, but what doesn't work is when I insert my backup & try to run it off NeoGamma.

As usual, it freezes at the safety screen. Does anybody get this to work "perfectly" off the DVD or do you have to do tricks like ejecting SD or DVD at startup??

Just wondering if WiiKey2 will let it run from a DVD every time...i skipped the last few pages of this thread...I just don't wan't to buy a key and it won't work

Right now it's a 3.2U with cioscorp on it. I've only gotten GB to load once or twice, once I just configured the settings differently, and the second time I had to use the eject disk trick, which no longer works for me. oh and both times it was with neogamma r4

But when I boot this game from dvdon the cd channel on a Wii 4.0U Soft Modded with cioscorp V2 and cios rev13b with the bug fixes.

I get a error 001 screen which I have learned means outdated bad or corrupted IOS's.

So heres my crazy idea has anyone tried installing the updated wads for this game using something like wad manager or what not.

I noticed Syndrome had compiled a list of the changed/updated ones that are diffrent so has anyone just tried installing those on your wii and then try booting the game ?

Just my thought.

Anyways let me know if you have/can/can not do this and why.

And I know am new here as well as to this whole process so please be kind and don't flame me.

Also I want to say Thank you to all the people who make this all possiable and who continue to bring us new stuff for the wii.

well, considering he's new to the forum it's highly possible he just doen't know about that stuff yet mr. expert.

I am sure you deal with alot of people just asking or saying dumb stuff with no intention of learning to better themselves.

Just wanted to share my experiences with the 002 games.

My PAL Wii is hardmodded with a modchip (WiiKey 2) and softmodded when it was on 3.4E.
Upgraded to 4.0E Waninkoko style.
I'm on Rev 13a

Using disc-channel ALL 002 games perfectly as the WiiKey 2 has no problems with them at all.

Using USB HD (Iomega 500 GB):

In CoverFloader by Beardface ALL 002 games work with 002 fix ON , but sometimes have trouble loading.

Using the newest update off Wiiflow by Hibern(atus) and 002 fix ON and vidpatch ON, ALL 002 games work (you might need to force the region of the disc or use autopatch). No problem loading the games at all. Just choose RESET or TITLEMENU when exiting the game so it will restart the Wii and you're fine.

I load directly from the disc channel using the eject method. Took 3 tries to get the timing correct but it works every time now that I know when to eject. I think I have rev13 installed. No neogamma. Just disc channel. and the latest wanin usb loader (which either freezes or comes up with the error 002 screen)

I used the eject method too. But I found if you use NeoGamma to boot the disc you have a bit of a extra time gap to eject the cd right after the screen flashes.

Hope this helps some of us using the eject method.

Where can I find Cios 13a? I think I may have 13b installed, I cant remember. I keep getting a green or black screen when trying this game. Ive been trying to fool around with the loader settings and nothing seems to work. This is getting frustrating.

So, I've done a good while of searching online to fix a few games. Madworld gave me a hassle, and I fixed it. Ever since then, I hadn't had any problems. Staff of Kings works for me. I got NeoGamma R4, 4.0u firmware, cios rev13. Ghostbusters actually loads for me. I don't have a problem getting to it. Never had to eject the disc of anything. I get in the game openings, passed all the company tags who made it, set up a character, as when I hit play, it tells me the Disc could not be read, check owner's manual. I've tried a good handful of patches in NeoGamma, but all coming up short and nothing letting me get passed it. Bad burn maybe?

HI...i often get this disc error..and ya it comes from bad burn..sometime i just remove the dvd and put it back and it works...but sometimes it won;t..not even the disc channel recognize the dvd so i burn a new one and problem solved...

do u have modchip or sofmodded?...Can i use NeoGamma R4 and cios rev13 on modchip to load these games...coz rite now all i get through gecko os is green screen.

Mine's been softmodded for awhile. Looked into modchips but never got around to it. I would suggest though to get both neogamma r4 and cios rev13 to see if it works. Although, Im kind of clueless on how modchips perform differently. Hopefully someone on here might help better. Thanks for the heads up, though!

Sorry if this is has already been answered, but I am still having trouble:

I am using cIOS38_rev13, USB Loader GX (Rev516) with the 002 fix on and still just get a black screen, is there something else I need or other setting I need to change?

I've tried loading ghostbuster with neogamma, loads fine but everything is tainted RED.

Any idea why?

Running 3.2U firmware with cIOS 13a & NeoGammaR4 w/ 002 fix applied. I can get Indiana Jones to play, but Ghostbusters went from a Green screen to the frozen Health Screen. Ejecting the disc doesnt help.

Ayn suggestions?
