Hi guys. Just bought a 1 TB WD My Book external drive. I was thinking of allocating 700 GB for Wii Games and 300 for other stuff GB, like movies.

Questions:

1. How do i create a partition? Can i format the other one in WBFS format and the other one in FAT32 format?

2. If i have two partitions, will my WII read my external drive?

3. Since not all games are available in cISO format, can i upload ISO and scrubbed games in my WBFS partition?

4. If not, do i need to convert them to cISO format before i can upload this to my WBFS partition?

5. If yes, do you guys still convert them to cISO (i.e. so that file size will be smaller)

6. How do i convert ISO to cISO?

7. How about box and disc art covers? Can i upload it to my external drive? In my fat32 partition?

Sorry for so many questions. Just a newbie here. Thanks in advance.

There are programs that can do it, but on windows you can normally right-click Computer > Manage > Storage. The shrink existing partitions (if any) and make new ones from the unused space. All partitions are independent, so you can format them to whatever you want.
Just make sure the partitions are Primary.

2. If i have two partitions, will my WII read my external drive?
Yes

Yes

4. If not, do i need to convert them to cISO format before i can upload this to my WBFS partition?
No

WBFS manager automatically makes it smaller when putting it on the drive

6. How do i convert ISO to cISO?
Some WBFS manager can do that

7. How about box and disc art covers? Can i upload it to my external drive? In my fat32 partition?
Yes you can upload them to the FAT32 partition. You can download them with your loader or from wiitdb.com

Sorry for so many questions. Just a newbie here. Thanks in advance.
