I'm just a lurker and don't really have anything to bring or suggest but this is a good time to thank everyone involved in maintaining the site and it's community.

Thanks for everything, this has been my favorite source of video game related news for a decade and I hope it will remain so.

Lots of love ❤️

I'd really like it if I wasn't locked out of threads for stating a fact, thanks.
If your 'facts' include statements such as "trans women are still men" or saying "Donald Trump is the best President we've ever had", then you're actually lucky you weren't banned. Even if something is regarded as true by the majority, if it can spark conflict, it is best to not say anything at all. Saying something that you know full well will upset some people in a public forum is against most forum rules.

From what I know about the site behind the scenes, custom things like that would be a challenge, but for my curiosity what kind of separation is it that you'd be interested in? Hardware news vs gaming news? Or is it more specifically the news and editorial content around hardware? I question whether anything could be done right now, but maybe some system that could have a filterable box based on the tags on front page posts could be feasible? Just throwing ideas out there really.
Yeah, I think gaming news vs gaming hardware would be like hardware vs software. But I feel it would require major site changes and I understand that's not always easily feasible. At least until another major site revision.

I might be a bit biased, since I haven't hacked/mod for awhile and mostly coming here for news, but I know once I get back into it, they hacking forums are going to be the most important to me.

Also a bias, but I really enjoy the AR news/reviews.

I think the form is broken? On page ten it keeps telling me "Please don't select more than one response per column". I haven't and I can't get past the page.

Honestly, I think the only feedback I have is that I wish legacy flashcard/modchip reviews were easier to find. I find myself being nostalgic sometimes for the old scene and love to go back and read reviews/overviews of at the time new flashcards and modchips. However, I find myself scrolling and scrolling and scrolling for a long time to sometimes not even find anything and giving up. Thats the only real feedback I have, although I'm not active anymore I still always check the site on a regular basis for the latest in gaming/hacking news and am completely fine with all the updates throughout the years.

(I believe the page 10 in the form is broken)

Well, I'm still very very new to this site so I don't really have any advice or specific thing I'd like to see here, everything in this site is very pleasant to me. Actually, there's still some areas here i need to know yet, hahah.

But i can say that the people in here are veery nice to chat with, at least those i usually talk to. Also I'm very happy thw GBAtemp is still working properly, +20yrs is literally almost my age, this website is part of the Old Internet that I love alot.

I decided to take a break from this site a few months ago when I went on vacation, and once I took a break I decided it was easy to keep taking a break. I feel a little bad that I never sat down to try to document a few things while they were fresh in my head, but if there's one thing that's abundantly clear, it's that lots of people never bother to read documentation anyway. :P

I certainly wouldn't have stuck around for as long as I did if it wasn't possible to filter the political stuff from the Recent Content tab, or turn off the Affiliate Videos. (Is there anyone who even remotely likes having those affiliate videos!?)

As for other content, I keep thinking of the kerfuffle a while back where someone dared to give a bad review score to Tears of the Kingdom, and then a little while later someone decided The Case of the Golden Idol deserved perfect tens across the board.

Damn! Forgot to mention in the survey: DON'T ALLOW STUPID MINORS, UNDERAGED IDIOTS INTO THE SITE.
Hard disagree. Kid's gotta learn sometime and there are becoming fewer and fewer places were kids can safely learn. Like I mentioned before, if I was run off the platform when I was a kid, I may have never found my passion for tech. I say let kids have safe spaces. No one is posting porn here, and it's not really an environment that leads to grooming

I frequent on the site during the DS and 3DS days, I've known the site since the GBA days but our country lacks sufficient internet access at the time. I came here to learn about mods, hacks, and other exciting stuff. Doing my own personal jailbreaks and trying out interesting hacks made by people, reading some of the source code and trying to figure out how stuff works. Nowadays, all I see are dooming and glooming anti Nintendo stance.

Disagree. Get rid of stupid minors so I can post porn.

I usually check in daily for any gaming news posted. things that interest me like cool rom hacks for old games I like, new hardware. most all gaming news. Forums are great for system hacking questions and tutorials.

So I spent 20 minutes taking the survey only for it to break on page 8 and lose all the Phone Typed resposes.

Will fill out the survey here when I’m more awake, but I think the only thing I’d like to see is the ability to filter out on the front page what kind of articles we actually see. Like, I don’t care about the latest AYANEO e-waste, or a keyboard review, etc. I’d rather see a game review only, or just hacking or general gaming news.If this is already a thing I’ll concede my comments :)

also I think the political discussion board is a necessarily evil. Imo I’d rather have that than threads popping up randomly elsewhere that would go on until a mod came in and deleted it like they used to. At least give the option to hide it from view completely if people don’t want it. It’s actually one of the more interesting forums to read sometimes, even if I get mad at things sometimes, ha

I am here daily (even if not logged in sometimes) for the love of the community, and in search of news and updates, but my visits are now often very short because it doesn't seem like much is truly happening here, despite the obvious daily upkeep. I seem to get more exciting news elsewhere, not sure what the issue is...

Also, the negative commenters here are getting to be really annoying. As an example, I love OLED screens, and as such I have been super excited to see Anbernic release a few OLED based models lately. But when I come here to check for reviews and opinions on those, it's all negative comments along the lines of "another week, another anbernic release", to the point that the whole thread becames a chorus of grumpy parrots, and then there's no reason for me to stick around, contribute, or ask questions, even if I am super excited about such release... Can people not understand that Anbernic's very strategy is to iterate fast, and in that way they can not only test the market with new ideas, but also provide more diversity and choice? Why are people so upset to have mode choice? Aren't we all spoiled brats at this stage? /rant. Sorry...

Still love the site anyway, and truly appreciate all the labour of love that is put into it... Thanks!

Another reminder that Step 10 is a priority rating, rate the 7 objects in order of importance.

Also giving my 2 cents: get rid of the political forums. All actually, ban any topics about it all together. It always turns into frustration and bickering, and creates conflict between members. And what's the point? It's not like anyone's gonna change their opinion.

There are plenty of other places where those discussions could be have, this should be for gaming only.

I really agree, I was lurking for years around GBATemp before finally registering properly (I think I started around high school, for NDS and PSP stuff, although we had good websites for those in France, crossing sources is always beneficial).

Regarding the political section, I've never really dived into it and for all I care, I don't come on GBATemp for this. I see some people openly branding their profiles with "LGBT+++ & Knucles Origins, etc." kind of stuff, but as long as it stays like this and doesn't extend to active lobbyism, I honestly don't mind. People should be able to be and enjoy who they are, as long as don't try to influence gullible kids. So, in the end, I'll just continue to ignore this part of the website and enjoy reading peoples thoughts and opinions on topics we're commonly interested about, whatever our personal political views on the world are.

So far, I'd just like to say thanks for the years of hardwork to maintain this website at such a high level of quality, and although I might not be the most active member around, it's always a pleasure to stop by and be a part of its community. 🙌

Just an example for everyone. Each must be unique.
For those having issues with page 10 of the form please read the above.

You must rate each option uniquely based on your personal order of importance. If you think News is the most important make sure that's set to 7 (most important) then go down a number for each of the remaining sections in order of your personal preference.

Unless the person who signed up is under the age of 13, GBAtemp must remove this user's information in accordance with COPPA. The issue with this, however, is that someone may impersonate their age on their account, making them harder to ban.

I love seeing the hardware reviews and kind of wish they would just get their own column on the front page instead of being mixed in among all the gaming news topics.

But that's just me. Love it here! 🥰
I would love to see more hardware modding reviews/articles on the Temp, mostly its other YouTubers covering the topic.
