Aren't these translations of Japanese pet simulators? I know I've seen many in the GBA release list, and look at that art style.

yep. ubisoft have just been slapping the Petz name on anything they can get their hands on, from Japan or anywhere else.

Given that he posted a patch here and Meet the Robinsons (U), it's probably a patch to remove the intro hack. Granted, if you're not comfortable with his patch, go over to No-Intro and snag the one there. There's also info on the proper MD5 and SH-1 that'll tell you if the dump is proper (since you can't judge by the CRC32).
