How is yeahgeek.com? this is an american website right? the official UK reseller is selling for £58 but its only £36.05 on yeahgeek, so much cheaper! has anyone ordered from this site in UK/EU ? is there any extra charge like tax and currency exchange?

It is "american" but its located in China. I have asked around and some people have ordered from them without any problems. Im currently in Europe studying engineering so ill leave a comment if they are reliable or not. They usually take 14- 30 days to ship and there is like a 3% currency exchange tax.

well i have to say i like teensy they are good people, i know some people had issues with them taking orders when not in stock, but they now tell you if this is the case before you order ....but yeah it depends if you trust china post its mostly fine but sometime stuff just doesn't turn up, i got mine from teensy in like 3/4 days

but for people still waiting for news on 9.0-9.2 support you could probably order from china as you won;t be using it until they release the update anyway

(for anyone wondering its no secret they sent me 2 free faulty cards to try fix(both still work fine) so i am maybe a lil biased towards them....but still it was nice of them to do so they certainly weren't obligated to)

For the twentieth time, yes, there's no need for any new hardware.

Seems legit but strange : some years (2 ?) ago, Nintendo successfully sued some French physical shops becase they were selling R4/cyclo for DS.
After this, no shops in France were selling them, because of the risk.

And now... I wouldn't be the owner of the shop lol because the day Nintendo looks at him... it will not be a good day...

I was thinking of ordering one as well because waiting until an undisclosed date in 2015 is bleck. Am I giving anything up as far as features by ordering a foreign handheld (obviously don't care about region locking because of Gateway)?

Man, the wait is killing me. I missed the 4.5 boat, so I'm ultra excited for the 9.0-9.2 boat to arrive. I just wish they'd give a more clear timeframe.

Another few months is my guess. Was over three months between them making an initial announcement acknowledging 7.x crypto and them releasing the update that supported it.

If they are smart they will release it before xmas, or right around then. Thats when people have most money (from gifts etc) to drop on things like this. Vappy, did they need to release new hardware for that though? Because this is just going to be a software update from the sounds of it.

Three months? You sure? I went over their news posts and it wasn't really like that (I think).

You've got: December 17 for a quick update.
Then: December 23 to finalize support for 7.1
Afterwards: June 30th for a status update on 7.x
A lil after: July 8th for acknowledging 8.x FW
Just a bit more: August 16th for a video using 7.x and 8.x
And finally: August 25th for the first private beta

From what I understood, on December 23th they cracked 7.1 BUT.. The rest of 7.x FW was only fully cracked on August 25th. If that is what you meant, then I'm sorry.

In all honesty, hope it isn't like that though! The wait's killing me too. Like Puppy_Washer I missed the 4.5 boat too!

Edit: Btw, they've been probably working on cracking 9.0 for roughly 40 days now.

I'm prepared for the worst (a few months), but I'm actually optimistic that it won't be that. If you read their announcement, it says they're "finalizing" their support. A team shouldn't be finalizing anything if they're entire months away from release. My guess is (since it's been about 11 days since announcement) that it could be from a few days, to a week or two at most.

But then again, I'm optimistic.

I'm extremely sympathetic with that optimism, good sir
