Hacking Gateway Omega 2.2 Question

thanks for the long reply Queno, i am class 10 as well.

Also, i am having no unknown or different issues from anyone else on emunand 7.2....

I had those issues when I was on Class 4,
because of it was laggy, save corruption and whatever not.

Did you get your SD cards from a trusted retailer?

My GW microSD is Sandisk Ultra 32 GB (class 10)
My 3DS XL SD is Sandisk Ultra 8GB (class 10)

Yeah FTR my roms all aren't trimmed.

I successfully played Pokemon X&Y (japanese and english dump, and it appears to be the same dump, with region settings tied to 3DS Model),
Asphalt 3D, Mario Kart 7 (1.0) with patch for 1.1, MH3, Playcoinsetter etc.

Like I said, my system's behavior is no different from yours. You haven't said anything different. My interpretation of what happens may be different, but essentially the same shit.

Did you give the appropriate headers to the games, then rename them .3DZ?

I've never tried, but with MACycler I get the popups telling my I have nintendo zone nearby.

Just make empty folders in your emunand. They won't show up on your sysnand.

Anyway this might be akin to Abcdfv's "visual indicator":

I'm partial quoting myself on a method that you will be sure you're on the right firmware:

Do open the spoilers to look at the picture, to have a better understanding:

Leaving system settings will let it boot back to system nand.

Here is what you should do.

When you first boot your 3DS, without using Emunand, create a few folders to show you are in sysnand, like this:

Now install whatever, enter Emunand and insert your flashcart.
Now rename those folders:

(ignore the fact that my games don't appear on sysnand)

Now to be sure, power off and on.
What folders do you see?

If you see the sys folder again, you know which mode you are in.
and when you emunand, you see the emu folders, you know what mode you are in

Once you can confirm that the folder method is accurate,
you won't need to enter and exit to check again.

Nope, it's an issue GW is presently fixing.

An alternate method requires hardmodding your 3DS, which I won't recommend anytime soon...

Also, thank you for confirming about the fact that we cant get into nintendo zone, because the people in the other thread started blaming it on my SD card class... like chill out...

Well, I can't confirm the Nintendo Zone thing, cause I don't use it myself.

But on Emunand 7.2, no E-shop, no System Settings right now. That bums me out.

you know you can just rename your wireless network "attwifi" and remove the security, and you can access nintendo zone at home, right? cause maybe thats why you didnt wanna go to mcdonalds or whatever but you can totally do it from home... you should try it and let me know if it works for you.

ahh, there it is. Cool. Yeah, it looks like an advanced method of the nintendo zone thing. The methods in the tutorial you linked tell you how to spoof your mac so you can streetpass tag people far away. thats pretty dope, i guess. i dont really know anyone else with a 3DS lol.

I don't think I've done either, especially not the latter. Well, it'll probably be a mystery for the ages. I deleted the save files on my MicroSD and I haven't lost anything, confirming that the save files on the SD card are the real deal.
