As far as I'm aware, the Wii section includes Wii U - and the Wii U actually has the best browser out of all the current gen consoles. You can throw a video to the screen and carry on browsing the site using the Gamepad. It's all seamless too, and it has the highest HTML5 score out of all the consoles right now (apart from the New Nintendo 3DS).

Serious answer: Basically when you connect to a site your browser sends information about the device you are using (EG: Windows 7 64 bit Chrome or iOS 8 iPad) so that the site can display the correct page for your device (EG a desktop or mobile site). They can record these stats to see what sort of devices connect.
