How would people with GW cards AND an already A9LH set up 3DS go about now? Do we have to restore the pre-A9LH backup and then run the GW program, risking our 3ds'ses for the second time?!

Also, typically when "work a software" you give credit to the code you use so who knows if gatewait will follow tradition.

As for now that seems to be the case, they don't seem to want to help the public at all at this point.

That, or it's written to look for Launcher.dat, rather than a .bin payload. Regardless, it's a pretty dumb move.

The fact that gateway is making their a9lh implementation incompatible with existing solutions seems like a dumb move personally. People aren't going to like that their going to have to downgrade their 3ds a second time in order to set it up, and they especially aren't going to like the fact that it will probably restrict you to gateway only. Just watching comments in this thread gateway users are already annoyed, and that will only increase when more gateway users with a9lh already set up find out.

I'm not even going to bother downgrading my device again, GW better release a arm9loaderhax.bin for their CFW or otherwise I'm waiting for someone to make it. Meanwhile, I'm staying with Luma and my red card will be collecting dust.

If Gateway aren't going to bother to provide a A9LH .bin file compatible with actually existing A9LH setups, then I'm not going to bother. Either I'll keep using the .3dsx version of their launcher in tandem with my existing A9LH setup, or I'll retire my Gateway cartridge completely.

I'm not touching any proprietory A9LH setup with a barge pole.

I really respect the decision of gw team, for an end user products it should be made without errors and bugs. You wanna something unstable and something that may brick your 3ds or do you prefer it stable and safe? so I got no problem to wait. I really wish they would just show more of them, more transpareny of the gw team.

but isn't the a9lh(non gateway) already flawless and stable? I mean it has 100% boot rate and never bricked anyone, except blind users, during either the 2.1 process or by flashing a wrong OTP
