Hey guys,

quick back story this 3ds is from child, I remember it used to power with the battery and the battery works with my other new 3ds perfect WITHOUT cable, this one all of a sudden cannot stay on when the plugged charger is off, I am using an original one and works on my other new 3ds.

It is not a kiosk device because we do not have that in New Zealand and it was working prior. The home button works as well.

I am trying to locate the fuse on the motherboard but there is no online forums that shows it and its all different layouts. I am wondering if ANYONE had this problem WITH THE NEW 3DS CONSOLE MODEL NOT THE XL or help me locate what I should be looking for to test with my multimeter. THANK YOU

I believe the 3DS is like the Wii U tablet where the battery isn't a pass through. Meaning the system can stay turned on without a battery in it as long as its plugged in. There is a good change your battery connector or battery is done.

Read up on this thread. The inductor near the power connector might be dead or you've killed a fuse on the board. Both the fuse and the inductor are to the right of the power connector on your board.
