Hey, thanks for the props guys! I appreciate it!

shouldnt this be in like testing area or something? this is pure spam, with some kind of trojan link...

seconded

I'll link to a trojan right now if i'd make you happy:
Trojan
They say this one actually protects you from virusses, but I wouldn't know because they don't fit my mutated genitals (I got bit by a radioactive prositute once)

QUOTE
The link isn't a trojan, I'm in the same boat with dg10050, they play in MPC and thumbnails appear in DOpus.

Windows FTW

And the changes he mentions in the text file actually are changed in the AVIs. So these AVIs aren't fake, someone should test them >.>

Are there any thumbnails missing?

Yeah, like 4.

This is what I'm getting in Windows XP/Explorer:

http://img14.imgspot.com/?u=/u/07/174/17/desktop2.jpg

And WMP 9:
http://img14.imgspot.com/?u=/u/07/174/17/desktop1.jpg

Does it match what you're getting?

(BTW, anyone try it on their Wii yet? Remember, don't come whining with "It crashed my Wii!"... do tell us, just don't whine about it. Satan will buy you a new Wii if it becomes unusuable - he says he owes me for accidentally getting that foreign indo-catholic exchange pilot drunk on his first mission the night of 9/11. I wonder whatever happenend to that guy. He even left his passport in the backseat of my car along with a Pakistani version of the bible or something which we were using to roll blunts with. The car was gone the day afterwards. Hey, you think he stole it? Come to think of it, he probably did! That SOB!)

To tell y'all the truth, I started work on an automated "exploit generator" that was going to mess with different files in a hundred different ways. It would optionally generate an html file which linked to each doctored file - all you had to do was host it somewhere and click on the appropriate link for each file on your Wii using Opera. It could also just copy everything to a given drive which could contain an SD card. That way, I wouldn't have to manually edit hundreds of files trying to find an exploit. A log was kept of each file and what was changed. Each filename would be a code, which you could use to refer to its description in the log so when you found a file that did something interesting, all you needed to do was rember the filename and look it up. At some point though I grew impatient and just edited some files with a hex editor manually. I'm continuing work on this program later though. When we do find an exploit that allows for a good buffer overflow, I plan to do the same for finding the address where the file was loaded by the Wii, ie. brute forcing it by generating hundreds of thousands of versions of the file containing the working exploit each with an incrementing address and trying them untill something good happens. We could share the workload by splitting the task into groups - each person tries, say, 1000 different files for a given range of addresses. But first I need to get some sleep. My retared sister keeps howling at the moon so I think it might be difficult. We're all out of Thorazine so I might have to use the shovel this time.
Tip: Never buy a used baby from a guy that wears a skimask in the middle of July!

(For those wondering wether I'm messing around or not, this is the C source of the crippled-avi-generator program I quit working on after about 10 minutes:
http://upload2.net/page/download/EoDIkvNaH...xploiter.c.html . Lets see John Carwreck do that!)

Well I have just tried it and unfortunately it didn't crash my Wii. I wore my tin foil hat and covered my crown jewels just to be safe though...

Anyway, results. Some of the icons are question marks and can't be played and the others have gayed up thumbnails (fuzzy lines) and can be played.

These are the times of the ones that can be played forwards and backwards (I can't find out how to view the filename):
13:15, 15:39, 15:40, 15:41, 15:44, 16:22, 16:24, 16:28, 16:31, 16:32, 16:34, 16:36, 16:38

The other ones I get an error message saying it isn't supported and the filename:
listsizemax, listsizemin, list2sizemax, list2sizemin, strmnummax, strmnummin, widthmax

The ones that play can be copied over to the Wii Message Board and just appear here as a black box. The others you can't do anything with though.

I would take some pictures but as soon as I pop the SD card out of my Wii it complains and my camera doesn't have built in memory.

Hope this helps!

That was a long, boring read. But if this corrupt notcorrupt file thing JPEG w.e (too lazy) works, that's cool. If they're all JPEGs, couldn't you test it faster by putting them in one of those auto-generated slideshows that you can put in websites and make it change slides every .1 second or something? Then you can check 10 things a second... yeah. Because it seems like you can generate them pretty quickly, but testing takes too long.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.

He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.
