softmodded mates wii using simplistic method and all is fine but just wondering why if on gamma loader(latest beta version) and i exit using gamma menu it hangs up with data on screen(resolved by pulling power lead).also if playing nsmb which is patched is it essential to turn patch on in gamma menu as so far its playing fine

Get RC3 as its the most recent release to date

exit using gamma menu it hangs up with data on screen(resolved by pulling power lead).
This is a DSI error screen, a crash in other word, no need pulling out the power cable just hold the power button till it powers off, the crash is caused by a channel or forwarder not using the corrent NAND loader most the time as Neogamma exits fine when loaded from HBC

also if playing nsmb which is patched is it essential to turn patch on in gamma menu as so far its playing fine
if NSMBW is playing fine without the patch enabled then your using a prepatched ISO probs of the net or a friend and therefore is not needed to patch at all using any loader even if ripped to HDD to play in a USB loader

^ bold, hope this answers it
