Hi, I have to take care of two little kids so I'd like to keep them busy with my NDS
yaynds.gif

That's why I'm gathering all the games I can find for little kids, they are like 3 and 5 years old (more or less) so I guess they can't read yet.
So far I've found this ones, please let me know if there is some inappropriate or if I've missed any other good games.
I think the ideal game would be the Smart Kids series, since it's just a bunch of minigames for kids (play music, paint, etc..)
Here is the list in no particular order, I know there are some of this games too complicated for them, but I'll use them anyway.
Am I missing any good kid's game? thanks in advance for your help!!

I suppose you can let them try Diner Dash and some Mario Games, specifically Mario Kart. Mario Party is too frustrating IMO.

Heres a list of games that I think are suitable:
• Diner Dash
• Mario Kart
• Mario Party
• New Super Mario Bros
• Cooking Mama 1 and 2
• Final Fantasy Chocobo Tales
• My World My Way (Sort of an introduction to RPGs)
• Super Princess Peach
• WarioWare Touched!
• Tetris DS
• Either Pokemon Diamond/ Pearl/ Platinum.
• Spongebob Squarepants The Yellow Avenger
• The last but not the least.... 100 Classic Book Collection. Let them read one of the easy stories there like Pinocchio. It's a good way of saying that reading is fun

And don't give your kids some of the worst shovelware. Try it out yourself and if you think it is 'worse than shovelware' remove it quickly

Matt, don't be a troll.

On topic: the general rule of thumb is that anything we label as shovelware here is considered good for children (i,e horse games, imagine series, dora the explorer etc)

I am not attempting to be a troll. I am trying to point him to the best place for such recommendations. Is that not the sticky thread for such requests?

Dementium The Ward!!!

oh wait .... maby not that would be sadistic!

as above MARIO/WARIO games the Imagine series are pretty easy for kids to get to grips with...

Brain training? give them an early start lol!

usually games that have lots of known characters in are fun for kids of all ages! eg Mario/Sonic/Kirby etc

re POKEMON games .. you would be surprised how fast kids can pick that kinda stuff up even without a lot of reading the text!

they could always play Pokemon Dash

if they are a little bit older like around 7 i would agree with you but 5 is still a wee bit too young for pokemon rpgs's in general. I do agree with you on Pokemon Dash though. that would be awesome for kids.

My nephew was having a fun time with Nanostray, he's about 3 now I think. Pretty simple shmup.

I think he just likes the colours, though. I remember playing some R-Type on my laptop when he was a bit younger and he was just watching the screen with fascination.

Oh, also this is completly unrelated but the first game I ever played was Doom when I was about 3 or 4. If you're into Homebrew I think there's a good port of it. Really simple FPS.

Nintendogs. I had the limited Best Friends edition, and I loved playing with my virtual (and now real) golden retriever.
