Looking for good action rpgs that I can play on a modded new 3ds. Preferably ones with multiplayer (Soma Bringer, Phantasy Star 0, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy Explorers, so on). OG DS or DSi or 3DS or new3DS would probably be best since I don't need to fight with multiplayer in an emulator.

No multiplayer needed (games like Tales of the Abyss are fine) but multiplayer is preferred [Soma Bringer and Phantasy Star 0 for OG DS (phat, lite, i, iXL) and Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy Explorers for 3DS (old, new, nonxl, xl, all of them)] please.

Wait, PSX?!?! Why haven't I heard about that emu anywhere?

Anyway I'm interested too. My favourite RPG of all time is an ARPG on SNES called Terranigma. Right now I'm playing Zelda Link Between Worlds as I'm new to 3DS games but would love to hear more.

Well I love action RPGs so...

    Secret of evermore (SNES)
    Crystalis (nes)
    Legend of Mana (ps1)
    Hell the whole -of Mana-
    series (multiple systems)
    Fighting fantasy (nds)
    Illusion of Gaia (SNES)
Fantasy life (3ds) btw this one is a must play

Try some 3ds dungeon crawlers like
    Quest of dungeons
    Alchemic dungeons
    Bit dungeon plus
