Ragefan informed me about his new software that works together with Offlinelist by Replouf66. The program can check the possible combinations of patches availables (remove intro , trim ff & 00 , specific ips patches ...) to find how to recover a good dump from a bad one , checking the CRC of good one in the .dat file provided by OffLineList ....
The software can process a large number of roms into a given directory.
It needs java to run.
Visit the OFFICIAL GBA GOOD DUMP MAKER HOMEPAGE (too bad it's in French) and the Replouf66's HOMEPAGE to get Offlinelist.

Here is the Readme in english :

GameBoy Advance Good Dump Maker
-------------------------------

V 0.3 alpha release

This software is a complement to the OffLineList. It allow to patch any Gba rom unknown by OffLineList in order to try to find the good
Crc indicated in the gba.dat file.
For that, Gbagdm tests differents combinaisons de patch available and try to find the goid one.

For now, this software is capable of removing intros , to do trim FF & 00 and to isolate roms that become OK with a good CRC corresponding to the
gba.fat file CRC. Furthermore, this soft includes a library of several patches that can be applied to find a good rom.

The file gba.dat MUST be present in the directory of GbaGDM, you can find it here :
http://release.playeradvance.org/tool/Rele...aseList/gba.zip

The set of roms to test must be uncompressed into a directory. Generaly, we will copy the directory of uncknown roms created with OffLineList.

Manuel
------

The commands are :

Usage : java GbaGDM [options] name_of_dir
-t Test roms in name_of_dir without patching them
-i Test & patch roms in name_of_dir by removing intro with FF
-j Test & patch roms in name_of_dir by removing intro with 00
-h display the header of roms in name_of_dir
-? Display the help (but in french
wink.gif
)
-v Display the version
-F Test & patch roms in name_of_dir by removing FF or 00 at the end of it (trim ...)
-iF Test & patch roms in name_of_dir by removing FF or 00 at the end of it (trim ...) and the intro
-p Test & patch roms by applying matching patches available in the library
-pBF Test & patch roms by applying every patches available in the library (Brute Force ---> SLOW! )
-c Calculate the CRC of roms in name_of_dir

For some people, the command can be (it depends of the Installation of Java ...) :

java -cp . GbaGDM [options] name_of_dir

The file gba.dat MUST be present in the directory of GbaGDM

Every patched rom that becomes valid is moved in the directory name_of_dir/ok where name_of_dir is the directory given in the command line.
Roms the becomes OK are DELETED from name_of_dir

Some temporary files are created during the execution of GbaGDM but are deleted when program exits.

A lot of output trace are written to the screen.

FIRST it is recomended to try options in the order -i , -j and -p.

It is indeed really old, and the software was used to fix bad dumps and try to make good ones out of them.

I didn't even remember such a tool, and I usually remember stuff I see...
