Ok im a real noob and i dont no much about the homebrew apps out there so plz go easy on me...

I have downgraded my wii to firmware 3.2 and i use the backup launcher gamma an i thought it was a real pain to avoid updates through the wii for my real games so i was wondering is there something i can install to make it so the wii bypasses the system update through games?

Well for games that aren't backups the only thing to stop those from updating would be Starfall or some other similar hack. For backups you can use WiiBrickBlocker before you make them "backups"

Unfortunately Starfall doesn't block updates for me, not sure why but it doesn't, maybe it has something to do with me having a WiiKey too so I have to either remove the updates with BrickBlocker or boot the games using one of the loaders GeckoOS or Gamma Loader...you know maybe it's the same thing dunno but I have both installed for just in case lol

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
