It's been a while since there's been a G6 Lite update...

Does anyone know if it's still being supported/updated? I really wish the GUI for the GBA was improved... Also there are a lot of missing cheats and pictures for the GBA games.

The last update for the slot 2 G6 carts was released just under two weeks ago. They haven't added new features in a long time, but they are still releasing compatibility updates.

That's the DS side of the G6 software though; The GBA loader hasn't been updated in well over a year, and I'm guessing it won't ever be updated again.

Since it is not open source, Is there such way that we be able to update it ourselves when they stop putting patches? As I understood, the most important thing is save sizes.

It is supported software-wise, however, as a discontinued range it has little life left in it.

When support is finally dropped, maybe the G6 team will release some of their code as there are enough of us to keep the thing going...

As said by Destructobot don't expect anything new ... except lame games patches ( i don't really care since i've got a slot1 ) ... they even never release sources for the dldi code ( it was reversed and coded by viruseb ) or update moonshell or the extend gba ... What a pity !

The G6 lite was an expensive promising slot2 card in 2006 but since it is slowly dying by a total lack of support.

I will not anymore buy a "new hip" product from them. They even do not answer about how to recover from faulty cards or lost password and so on ...

Yeah sorry

Anytime you come across a suspicious file, a detected threat, suspect a file detection may be a possible false positive or you want a second opinion, submit it to one of the online services that analyzes suspicious files for possible malware.

I installed a Windows XP ISO onto a VM and used a fake product key, as does everybody else, so my best bet is that it's either a false positive or Windows XP having terrible security.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
The product key generator could be tied to mailware like mentioned in the links

No, just found product keys in a list on archive.org

@K3Nv3, Cloud scanners often interpret machine learning to understand the inner workings of a program and checks to see if functionality compares to how malware operates. Hence why it's not always accurate and you get false positives such as W32.Wacatac.

It's interesting that the ISO came with the browser though, is it also pre-loaded with other stuff?

now, back to what I was doing last night: going insane because Firefox can't set the new tab page to your custom new tab page-- apparently as a security issue
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yes that was also mentioned in the links I posted
  • Kirbydogs @ Kirbydogs:
@ZucchiniMaiden No no, it was a blank install of XP, I installed the software afterwords lol
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
I would not recommend using a product key generator to generate keys, you can find em on the internet relatively easy. And as for Windows XP keys, a certain GitHub page has them. :P

Is there a Firefox feature in like maybe about:config to change the new tab page to the home page?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Settings > Home > Change 'New Tabs' to anything.

"New Tabs" only has Firefox Home or Blank Page

@K3Nv3, There's the Windows Genuine Advantage that got implemented in SP3 if I remember which checked the license of your Windows installation to see if the key was either pirated or whether it's been activated.
