Hello tempers,

I'm trying to completely format my PS3's HDD that has CFW installed. I want to remove my profile and any settings associated with Rebug 4.75.1 since I'm having some buggy issues. Is there a way I can perform this operation on the PS3 itself, since the only way I can think to do it is to remove the HDD hook it up to a PC and wipe it, then reload the PS3 CFW OS. Which I'd rather not do. I'm probably over complicating this, but online search results did not turn up a clear answer.

Any helpful insight is much appreciated.

The CFW will always be there regardless of what you do. Even if you format the HDD, the second you pop the HDD back in it will ask for the existing FW on a USB stick. Just install the CFW you want (QA toggled system of course) and then format if you so desire.
