Help with PS3 SLIM CFW

Hello everyone.

I bought a PS3 SLIM, which came with CFW and version 4.80.

I wanted to change the HDD and update it to the latest version (if possible in CFW, better)

I don't know how I should proceed, the console apparently comes with REBUG but I don't know for sure, the boot image instead of PS3 is this:


any help would be appreciated

Pretty easy, just do a backup, then remove the old HDD, and put in new one and install OS, restore HDD backup.

Make sure in your pendrive have the PS3 folder and inside UPDATE.

And make sure it is FAT32, not exFat, if you are running Windows 10+ you may need to download software to format your Pendrive to FAT32. Just remember this step will erase everything inside your Pendrive!

the problem was the fucking USB's i tried with 3..


its solved, i am on cfw 4.90.
