Hello there!
So I got a Laptop to fix and since it wasn't something I could fix I harvested a 1TB HDD from it and I wanted to add it to my PS3 Slim.

I tried making a backup from the System Settings menu but since I have a 640g Gb HDD that is almost full it ran for 20 hours reached like 40% and the HDD shut down and the progress was lost. I am Wondering if there is a better way to do this since USB is pretty chaotic and prone to disconnect. I don't wanna lose my game and save data.

Any recommendations or any good tutrials?

Firmware is 4.86 rebug cobra 8.2 CEX

Thanks in advance.

do not use the built-in backup utility. it's a pos. I think psx-place has a guide of what to backup, probably with a script or ftp. it's not that hard to do really, but the games will likely be lost. saves, and everything else, won't be. you could backup the games, but the methods to do so are sloppy. I don't recommend them unless they're iso. if they're package games or jb folders, redownload them.
