Today I bought the normal 3DS and updated it to latest version, and did the same to my acekard 2i. But it doesn’t work because I did the update of acekard after the update of the 3DS.. Is there any way to revert my updates or did I kill my card ? If so, what card am I recommended, one that does, in fact, run roms. Thank you

The latest Ak2i update doesn't work on the latest 3DS update anyways.

And there is no way to downgrade the 3DS.

You might as well buy now, DS games are coming out pretty rarely, what's out there now is 99% of what will be out there when the games stop.

Hey guys... 2 days ago i bought a used 3ds with r4 card in it. the R4 is R4i gold pro from r4i-gold.com. it worked fine and i was able to play DS roms with it... but my 3ds fw was an old version. so i updated it without knowing that i should have updated my r4 first. so now i get the error message when i open my r4 from the home menu. is my r4 permanently damaged? if not what should i do? do i have to update it from a lower firmware DSi or a lower fw 3DS would do the job?? ahh the 3ds firmware is 4.5.0-10E... and the card im talking about is this one.. http://www.jeuxgen.com/img/p/85-214-thickbox.jpg... the sticker is identical... the card has somewhat a milky color.

All the modern carts use an update function in the main/boot menu, or a separate download you run from the main site.

Btw, if I buy it now, and update it to latest firmware, will it still work ?

If the site you buy it from updates the R4i Gold before sending it out to you, yes.

Just got this card in the mail yesterday. Took 11 days to get to me after it shipped.

Works great so far haven't had any issues with it at all. Mainly used for my daughters ds lite but i did try it out on my sons 3ds xl and it played everything fine on it as well.

Really considering ordering another one for my sons 3ds xl. Just wondering how long it will survive updates.
