Square Enix isn’t going to leave The Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden in Japan. The charmingly classic RPG is going international under a different name.

In the West, the title being tossed around is The 4 Heroes of Light with a stylized number four in the middle. This is similar to the Japanese title Hikari no 4 Senshi.

The 4 Heroes of Light was designed as a classic RPG without magic points. In battle, heroes use a charge command to store turns for powerful spells. The game also has a job-like system where characters equip crowns to change stats and abilities. Here’s a sample of those and a trailer from Tokyo Game Show.

Good, now maybe Stealth Fox will stop raging (lol, not). I'm actually surprised they're taking out the Final Fantasy name, seeing how the series sells on name alone and this one might not since it isn't named that... Possibly some bad marketing decisions there, we'll see.

Yeah, in an interview with Siliconera, Square Enix was asked about this game as well as a couple of other games. Whether they'd be localized. Their response was not "no" but rather "we don't know". Some morons took that the wrong way and thought "waaaaahhh SE haets meh!!! Ragegasm!" Gotta love the ignorance there, where simple maybe's or dunno's mean no... Guess it just goes to show that on the internet, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say WILL be misquoted and used against you. Reminds me of high school gossip. Facepalm and all.

Now just bring on Lufia DS, SaGa 2, and even Blood of Bahamut for good measure (even though BoB wasn't very fun). Those are still to be seen. I have some doubt we'll see all of those.

it is possible that there was a sort of sarcasm that we arent going to translate it locally but infact let everything go worldwide... or maybe they just are going to do the really good confirmed games... or maybe they reversed their statements

No, their words were specifically "we're not sure if we'll localize all our DS games". Some people just took that as an absolute no. Uncertainty can sometimes mean negative things when it comes to game business. They don't always want to alienate their fans by outright saying no.
