On another note, everything I've heard about the new FFIV makes it seem great. I played the PS1 version with my brother and it'll be interesting to see it in 3D.

I hope there is no piracy protection on this game... it wasn't even that big of a problem for crystal chronicles, just a pest for a couple of days... hopefully they didn't waste time doing the same this time.

I was going to play this on SNES emu, then the next day the DS remake was announced.. so I decided against it. Now I am eagerly awaiting this game... looks incredible.

Same here, I was going to start it a year ago on Snes 9x for the first time and then I hear about the Japanese DS release. I've been waiting for the English dump ever since. THEN I decide I'm going to play Chrono Trigger on my DS with a SNES emulator, and suddenly I hear of Chrono Trigger DS. *sigh*, now I just wait.

There was no piracy protection on the (J) version, and any issues that flashcarts had were corrected quickly, so there's a good chance this rom will play well right away.

While there was no "protection" per se, the Japanese players were running into a major problem. It involved the ROM dump not loading during the second New Game + (the third playthrough). This was back when it first came out, but I don't know if that problem has been fixed with firmware updates since. I hope the problem doesn't happen with the US dump.

Well if it works like that for you guys, please take an interest in FFVII, maybe then Square will announce a remake!

I have been looking everywhere for the game, sad thing is I was gonna buy it but my local store will not have it till the morning or later...
