Gaming FE PoR save wont copy to radiant dawn

i finally completed fire emblem PoR (boss was pretty easy) and i go to start a new file on radiant dawn and it doesn't give me the option to copy the save file over! PoR was a downloaded version and im pretty sure that it's PAL and my radiant dawn is a real copy and it's PAL. what should i try to do? BTW, PoR was completed on normal difficulty

EDIT: NVM turns out it was a US version of PoR
