fck i failed that quiz .

science quiz today .
damn i failed it badly .

i finished all multiple choice, and 1 short answer question .
there were 2 more, but i couldn't finish em .
the 2nd last one, all i wrote was an opening sentence , then the teacher said put your pens down .
i was like, fck .

i noticed that those last 2 were worth 1/3 of the quiz's total mark .
so basically, i can't get anything above 70% anymore, and i'd be lucky to even get 65% .
i blanked out, i was so nervous .
i don't know when early warning day is [when you get a phone call home if you are getting 55% or under .] but hopefully, i can bump this mark up to 70% at least before the day comes .

Honestly, if your overall grade rides that much on your score on a quiz, you need to try harder on getting all the work done. If your class is one where quizzes/tests are almost or are the entire grade then that's different of course. I did really badly my first year of high school and regret it. Don't get lazy, do all your homework, or it'll come back to haunt you later.

i asked for a guidance councilor session on time management and handling science class xD .

it's just that this is the first thing in the semester that'll actually count on the report card . it probably holds what, something small, but i've been told that i wasn't the only one who did ... under average.

You should watch "Dragon Zakura", this Japanese drama about study skills and stuff. I only got to the 4th episode though, but the skills it portrayed looked pretty legit

One failed exam won't mess up your grades.I used to fail many times before.I messed up my last high-school year that I almost dropped out of the top ten.Well thankfully made it back.Just have patience and diligence.

I can't say i've ever really done bad at a test/quiz.
Except one Shakespeare test in grade 12...though my entire class did so bad my teacher actually halved the total of the test, and still nobody got 100% (meaning no one got even 50% originally, LOLfail).

How is your course weighed anyways? (example: Coursework 50%, Tests 30%, Final 20%).
I can't see bombing one test maiming your mark without you already doing pretty bad, lol.

Most teachers/courses I ever had always weighed waaay too many of the marks on course work. I'd have got straight A's straight through highschool if tests were worth 100% of the grade.
Er, except PE. Was never a fan of PE.

so i doubt it would weigh more than 5% ... i think .
it felt like a review-ish of what we learned.

and well ... im not sure how it's weighed ... i have a sheet, but i can't remember it and am too lazy to go and get it ...

actually, i just got a few quizzes back from school.
i got 100% on all three of them.

you get timed for your quizzes. that's retarded. you would be in a rush to complete the quiz and wouldn't do as well.
hopefully, you'll do better on another quiz.
on a sidenote, i notice i always type in lowercase for your blogs. nowhere else.

in my standard, failing is probably under 70%, so that's why i get nervous .
and grats on getting great grades ! i just did a math and french quiz and i think i did alright .

lowercase is addictive ,
