I clicked that link and it didnt even explain what this did? I do know that DS organize didnt work, so did this fix fix it? If so where can I get the fix at? Thank you.

I hope it'll be possible for scummVM to support big files now?

Hopefully he uses this for the next ScummVM DS release

Hopefully they will use it for all of the homebrew with G6 since there wasnt any app that was able to access the files
I am looking forward to the newest version of moonshell and also NESDS and others with the FAT access.

This isn't something that is immediately usable to end-users. It is something that developers of homebrew can use to improve their programs to make them work nicely with G6. You need to wait for new versions of your homebrew.

"I hope the DS Doom guys know about this"

DS Doom does work on the G6 lite (I was playing it this morning). Someone created a special version that included the drivers built in. File was 4Mb rather than 500K but it works really well.

Here is a download link for the G6 compatible DS Doom
http://davr.org/ds2/doomfc.zip

Hope this is okay to link to - please delete if not

That version of DS Doom for the G6 Lite is the shareware version. It only allows you to select the first episode of Doom, no Doom II.

When will we G6 Lite owners get the entire package?

build it yourself

There is a way to build a ds.gba with an appended FAT:

 1. Build a FAT file system containing .wad files. It's relatively easy on Linux, which allows easy creation and mounting of loopback file systems, but perhaps slightly more difficult on Windows.
 2. Prepare the FAT file system's boot sector with Chishm's signature (analogous to "PinEightGBFS" in a GBFS file).
 3. Append to the ds.gba, as is done with GBFS.

This should work with any NAND+RAM card such as SuperCard, M3, or G6.

Just so you know, beup does work on the G6.

Although an .nds build with avatars and smileys would be great.

I may have a look at what tepples is talking about when I'm feeling brainy and have a bit of time to spare.

I have no clue how to do that. I'm a Windows user, too.

If someone would like to give me directions on how to do that, I could give it a try. I'm willing to learn how to do it.
